Staying at this motel with my family and our grandkid was a delight! The view from our balcony was fine, and we loved exploring the nearby local eateries. It's a perfect base for adventures around Queen Charlotte Sound.
My kids wished there were more kid-friendly activities available.

The very welcoming attitude of the owner. We arrived on the late night ferry and he was most efficient and helpful. The room was very well equipped and comfortable with fantastic views over the harbour. It is only a few minutes drive from the ferry terminal and is very, very convenient. The following morning, the owner suggested some places of interest in particular a walk along the Sound. He was right. It was a beautiful. if slightly hilly, walk.
Nothing.

lovely views but some minor issues
The unit offered a fine harbor view that was lovely! The comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep after a long day. I greatly appreciated the well-equipped kitchenette, made meal prep convenient. The bright garden view further enhanced the serene atmosphere.
The internet connection was quite spotty .

The food was nice with a huge variety of choice! The location was stunning and fantastic - 200 metres away from Picton War Memorial.
Some of the staff were very unhelpful.

The fresh local fish at nearby Beachcomber Inn was a delight. The location is perfect-only a short walk to the harbor and quaint eateries like Gusto for a tasty bite. The spacious twin studio we stayed in offered an very nice sea view with a cozy kitchenette to whip up snacks.
Shower water pressure was a bit weak, and hot water took its sweet time. Plus, the TV and internet struggled to keep up. And while it was a surprise to have our belongings moved without consent during a room shift, everything managed to shine in the end.

The view from my Twin Studio Sea View was fine. The steep driveway made access difficult, especially with luggage.
